Since 2018, The Green Read has served

as the premier used bookstore in

McHenry County.

We’re committed to providing high-quality, 

gently used books to the community.

We also carry new and hand-crafted sustainable gifts,

including Cobble Hill puzzles and

Wrendale Designs stationary products.  

The Green Read is a project of the Environmental Defenders

of McHenry County.
